On Sunday, July 25, the pool will be closed between 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (closing) for a special swim team event.

Hours of Operation:  10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily
Residents will be required to sign in at the lifeguard desk and produce photo id with Faircrest address.
Guest passes can be obtained at the lifeguard sign-in desk.  One pass per household good for ten guests.
Due to the pandemic, the pool will be operating at 75% capacity.

The next regularly scheduled Centreville Farms Community Association Board of Directors' meeting
will be held on Thursday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m.  -- MEETING CANCELED.
Members are invited to attend electronically. In accordance with Virginia Code § 55.1-1816 (A), all HOA members of record are welcome to attend meetings of the board of directors.  These meetings occur monthly.

CFCA Director's meetings are conducted in order and in accordance to Roberts Rules of Order, revised. We adopt a casual interpretation of the rules of order.  Attendance, meeting minutes and a formal record of our activities takes place at our meetings in person and this will continue as we conduct business meetings electronically.

The FHA Board of Directors has revised its meeting schedule.  The board will now meet at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of the month in the offices of Sequoia Management located at 13998 Parkeast Circle, Chantilly, Virginia.
The next board of directors' meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 21, at 7:00 p.m.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will be conducted via teleconference.  If you are a homeowner in Faircrest Homeowners Association, please email lholloway@sequoiamanagement.com for the link to participate in the meeting.

  Faircrest Community Association, ARB & Covenants Committee (CC) Meeting- 
The Faircrest CA ARB & Covenants Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the FirstService Residential Offices located at 11351 Random Hills Road, Suite 500, Fairfax VA 22030 at 7:00 p.m.  Due to COVID-19, the meetings will not be held in person until further notice.
The next scheduled ARB Meeting will be held via-Zoom platform on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.  The Zoom meeting information was emailed out to the Community on Friday, January 8, 2021 - if you did not receive a copy of this communication, please contact Management to be added to the email list.
 Clubhouse Rebuild Updates
Hammer to Nail.  Construction has Begun! 
As of March, 2020, clubhouse reconstruction activities continue.  The winter months were complicated with utility provisioning related issues and with those behind us, we are now working through sub-component inspections.  Once all sub-component inspections pass, we will conduct final building inspections, note remaining punch down items with our partner and General Contractor, Paul Davis Restoration.  We will begin to decorate the interior once we receive our occupancy permit.

While the current Covid-19 global response is slowing down many aspects of business, our reconstruction activities continue.  As of our March 19, 2020 regular meeting, we are tracking about 100 small projects or details that need to be wrapped up; many are resolved every week.  These may range from small cosmetic items to large projects like returning the pool to a healthy state after two years of inactivity. 

Overall the project remains fluid; we cannot promise when we will receive our occupancy permit yet, but everyone involved and supporting us believes we will receive it this spring, and as long as health concerns allow, we are planning for a Summer 2020 Swim Season.  We continue to receive outstanding support from our contractors, suppliers and vendors, and our great support team at Sequoia Management.

On Thursday, May 9, PDR begun the framing of our new clubhouse. Construction is scheduled to take 6 to 7 months. Please refrain from entering the site during construction hours for your own personal safety.
On March 14, 2019, the Centreville Farms Community Association (CFCA) Board received word that our final construction permit requests have been reviewed and approved.  This process has taken many months!

This means that our restoration partner and General Contractor, Paul Davis Reconstruction, can begin construction.  
We met with them on March 15, 2019 to discuss the schedule of events for the construction phase of the project.  Early estimates were that the project would end in late November, and that did not occur.  Utility provisioning delays added between five and six months to the project.   During the 2019-2020 Winter, weather did not adversely affect the project. As of February 2020, all utilities were in place.

September 2018
The CFCA Board of Directors has been very busy with the clubhouse rebuild, it is not a simple process.
As of September 15, 2018:
  • Funding Gap closed with our insurer, more than $1m funding has been secured to cover rebuild costs. At this point in the project the CFCA board has identified no present need for any special assessments to the community. 
  • Rebuild cost estimates, line items and task areas have been identified, planned with our General Contractor. Architectural drawings and plans are better than 75% complete. These are essential for the construction permit process. 
  • Demolition orders have been given to our general contractor, Paul Davis Restoration of Northern Virginia (PDR).  As of 9/14/2018, that permit is being processed by Fairfax county.  This permit that ensures safety for workers conducting the demolition. 
  • Approximately 800 linear feet of fencing will be installed week of 9/17/2018.  
  • Demolition will be conducted once fencing is installed and the demolition permit is received.  
  • Expect the demolition to take about one calendar week to complete. 
  • Residents will have two days after the fencing installation to vacate the enclosed section of the parking lot.  Vehicles remaining in the enclosed section of the clubhouse parking lot will be towed at owners’ expense. 
Next Steps
Construction contract negotiations are in their final phases. An important, high priority goal for this month is to get the construction contract signed. Funding to start this work is immediately available. 
The intent of the build project is to be ready around May first, 2019. This is not guaranteed because many factors are out of our control.  The CFCA board and our builder are keeping this target completion date in focus.  
Key risks to the build timeline include:  
1. Build permits are needed by Oct/Nov at the latest to meet schedules. 
2. The concrete slab needs to be largely intact and reusable. This will be assessed in the October timeframe, after demolition is completed. 
3. Winter weather may have an adverse impact on the project 
We will continue to provide updates on this, the community web site. 
Neighborhood Projects
The FHA Board has approved the building of brick pillars throughout the community that the builder failed to provide in 2003. The pillars will be built this fall. Locations include: Matthews Vista/Arrowhead Park, Wisteria Arbor/Arrowhead Park, Joseph Johnston/Calamint, Granite Step/Centreville Farms, Stargazer Terrace/Centreville Farms, and Centreville Farms/Leland Rd.
The Cyclones Swim Team has adopted Leland Road. See NEWS, below for more information.
Community Reminders
Bus Stops - Parents please walk your children to the bus stop.  There are too many cars collecting around the bus stops in the morning and afternoons. We haven't heard of any accidents, and we want to keep it that way!
Pet Waste- Please pick up after your pets! There has been an increase in complaints regarding residents not picking up their pet's waste.  Fairfax County's "Pooper Scooper" Law states, "It shall be unlawful for the owner of any animal or animals to keep such animal or animals in such a manner as to cause unsanitary conditions. The owner or custodian of any dog shall be responsible for the removal of excreta deposited by such dog on the property of another, including public places."  Fairfax County will fine pet owners up to $250 for failure to comply with this law.  The Association can also impose fines for failure to abide per the Association's Pet Policy.
