The clubhouse office is closed Thursday, Feb 29 and Friday, March 5.
 
 
 
The shared mailbox located in front of 5378 Blue Aster Circle is out of commission.   The post office is removing the mail from the unit on Friday, Feb. 23rd, 2024.  It will be picked up for repair on Monday, Feb 26th, 2024.  The repair of the pedestal will take approximately 7-10 business days.  We hope to have it reinstalled by March 8th, 2024.
 
You may pick your mail up from the post office at Sully Station, 5003 Westfields Drive, Centreville, VA 20120.  Hours of operation are located at this link:  Sully Station Post Office
 

Trash and recycling may not be stored outside and cannot be placed at the curb before dusk the evening prior to pick up.

 
 
VDOT Route 29 Expansion
 
 
Stringfellow Road Closure from Feb 17-19 , 2024
 
Northbound and southbound Stringfellow Road (Route 645) between Route 29 and
Centreville Farms Road will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 until 5
p.m. Monday, Feb. 19 to install a water main, according to the Virginia Department of
Transportation.

 
Faircrest Homeowners Association Upcoming Work
 
 
Week of Jan. 8, 2024
• Removal of Faircrest HOA sign structure on northeast corner of Centreville Farms Road to accommodate storm sewer installation (STR 4-3)
 
Week of Jan. 15, 2024
• Partial removal of fence panels just east of existing fence opening (10-20') to accommodate storm sewer installation (STR 4-7)
 
Late January 2024 - February 2024 (Tentative)
• Complete fence demolition & tree clearing/landscaping removal along entire frontage of Faircrest HOA within the temporary construction easement
• Erosion and sediment control installation
• Storm sewer and water main installation
 
Winter - Spring 2024 (Tentative)
• Rough grading and utility work (water main installation, underground fiber optic relocation) along entire frontage of Faircrest HOA parcel within the temporary construction easement
 
Summer – Late 2024 (Tentative)
• Noise barrier construction between Centreville Farms Road and Arrowhead Park Drive
• Construction of retaining wall at Arrowhead Park Drive

The Architectural Review Committee of the Faircrest Homeowner's Association is seeking volunteers to be a member of the review board.  Volunteers are needed for reviewing and approving plans for any exterior changes or additions to the homes in the community. The ARC's primary purpose is to ensure that any changes or additions are consistent with the community's overall design and aesthetics.  If you are interested in serving, please contact Mary Fairbanks at centrevillefarms@sequoiamanagement.com

CLUBHOUSE NEWS

The Centreville Farms onsite assistant is located at the clubhouse part time.
 
The hours are as follows:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday - 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm

CLUBHOUSE RENTALS
 
Reservations are filling up quickly.  Call today!
 
Clubhouse rentals are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis after the rental fee is received. The rental fee is determined by the duration of the rental.  Current availability can be viewed by clicking on "Community Calendar". 
 
To reserve the clubhouse for an event, please complete the first two pages of the CFCA rental agreement and send the completed form to: Mary Fairbanks at CentrevilleFarms@sequoiamanagement.com, or you may drop off the agreement and check at the clubhouse during office hours.
 
 
FAIRFAX COUNTY RECYCLING PROGRAM

WASTE DISPOSAL SCHEDULE
 
For both FCA and FHA Communities, from April 1st to December 24th, yard waste is collected on Saturdays. Grass clippings and leaves must be set out for pickup in bio-degradable PAPER (10 maximum) bags or in a personal trash container clearly marked “yard waste” on both sides.  Tree limbs and brush must be tied in bundles no longer than 4 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter.  Bundles or items that are bagged cannot exceed 50 pounds.  Yard waste does not include stumps, rocks, dirt, sod, gravel, mulch, whole trees, or clean-up from storm damage.  Collection of these items may be provided for an additional charge.
 
 
LOST AND FOUND
 
December 2023 - A craft box with a football theme/titled "touchdown", latch hook box kit was found in the clubhouse parking lot.  It is a craft kit that was misplaced in the parking lot.
 
Summer 2023 - A small boys jacket (Size 7) was found at the swim meet that was held on June 10.

April 2023 - A cell phone wallet was found at the pond and turned in to the clubhouse.  Please contact 703-830-0394 for verification that it is yours, or send an email to centrevillefarms@sequoiamanagement.com

CENTREVILLE FARMS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
 
 
The CFCA Board of Directors meet at 6:30 pm on the third Thursday of the month.
 
The next CFCA meeting will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
It will be held at the clubhouse at 5401 Calamint Court.
 
 
CFCA Director's meetings are conducted in order and in accordance to Roberts Rules of Order, revised. We adopt a casual interpretation of the rules of order.  Attendance, meeting minutes and a formal record of our activities takes place at our meetings.
 
FAIRCREST HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
 
The FHA Board of Directors meet at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of the month.

Community Reminders
 
Bus Stops - Parents please walk your children to the bus stop.  There are too many cars collecting around the bus stops in the morning and afternoons. We haven't heard of any accidents, and we want to keep it that way!
 
Pet Waste- Please pick up after your pets! There has been an increase in complaints regarding residents not picking up their pet's waste.  Fairfax County's "Pooper Scooper" Law states, "It shall be unlawful for the owner of any animal or animals to keep such animal or animals in such a manner as to cause unsanitary conditions. The owner or custodian of any dog shall be responsible for the removal of excreta deposited by such dog on the property of another, including public places."  Fairfax County will fine pet owners up to $250 for failure to comply with this law.  The Association can also impose fines for failure to abide per the Association's Pet Policy. 
 
We ask that you do not place trash in the pet waste stations.  They are used strictly for pet waste.  Trash cans are located very close to the stations.
